MECP Announces New Online Practice Test

You asked, we listened! Online practice testing is now available for the MECP Basic Installation Technician level. The price of practice test is $15.00 and is payable by credit card.

Do you think you have what it takes to become an MECP Basic Installation Technician? Prove it! This practice test is the best way to simulate the actual MECP Basic Installation Technician exam. The practice test is 75 questions in total covering each of the five (5) sections of the MECP Basic Installation Technician Study Guide:

  • Basic Electronics and Vehicle Electrical Systems
  • Entry-level Installation Knowledge and Technique
  • Introduction to Mobile Audio/Video Systems
  • Introduction to Security and Convenience Systems
  • Introduction to In-Vehicle Information and Safety Systems
Test takers will have exactly 3 hours to complete the 75-question test. And, just like with the official exam, test takers must achieve a 70% or better on each section to pass. Currently, practice testing is available only for the Basic Installation Technician Exam, but MECP hopes to roll out practice tests for the Advanced and Master levels in the coming months. MECP strongly recommends that you purchase a copy of the MECP Basic Installation Technician Study Guide before attempting this practice test.
