MECP Hosts Master Installers Dinner in Las VegasEvery November MECP hosts an appreciation dinner exclusively for MECP Master Installation Technicians. It's become a tradition that many Masters look forward to every year for the laid back atmosphere of the Buca di Beppo restaurant and the opportunity to network with other MECP Masters from around the country. Some Master technicians came from as far away as Virginia and Hawaii to attend! MECP Master certified technicians Jon Kowanetz and Jeff Meece who were both ME-Mag Installer of the Year candidates were also in attendance. Jon, as many of you know, was voted the ME-Mag Installer of the Year 2010. All in all this event is a great opportunity for MECP to say thanks to its top level certified technicians and discuss our collective bright and opportune futures in the aftermarket car electronics field. While it's tough to assemble MECP Masters from all areas of the country as the credential grows in numbers, this is one way MECP likes to host its best of the best when they make the November trip to Las Vegas. Look for other MECP Master Only events in 2011 at events like CES or other trade shows! Keep your eyes open to future MECP On-The-Move newsletters and follow MECP on Twitter for information about the next MECP Masters gathering. This year's Master Dinner was enhanced with a few prizes donated by Bojo Tools (makers of non-marring pry tools) and Innova (makers of OBD-II diagnostic tools and other automotive electrical measurement tools) for an added bonus of being MECP Master certified and attending the event. The Innova 3160 OBD-II Scan Tool winner was Eric Black.
Every attendee was also given one of two premium sets of Bojo Pry Tools donated by Daniel Bolin at Bojo. As they say, membership at the MECP Master level has its privileges! A big MECP thanks to all those Masters in attendance as well as to Innova Tools and Bojo Tools for their generous participation.
